5 Ways to Prepare Your Chatbots for The Holidays: Chinese New Year Edition

Tip #1: Give your chatbot avatar a festive outfit for Chinese New Year

Prepare Your Chatbot for Chinese New Year - give your avatar a festive outfit

We know that having a cute chatbot avatar is enticing and important to many users, so we’re encouraging you to make your chatbot avatar look even more adorable by dressing them up for the holiday season.

What better way to ring in the holidays than to change your chat header, icon, and avatar’s outfit to be Chinese New Year-themed? It’s super simple to do so – all you have to do is go to the Noodle Factory portal and click on ‘Chat Channels’.

P.S. Did you know that you can use GIFs in your chat headers and icons? Yup, you really can use your favourite moving pictures!

Tip #2: Have a holiday widget makeover

After getting your chatbot interface ready for Chinese New Year, go the extra mile to make all your widgets holiday-themed too! Swap out the boring widget colours for fun festive shades like red and gold.

Noodle Factory’s chatbots allow you to customise your bot accent colour, text colour, user bubble colour, and buttons colour. How do you do it, exactly? Simply go to the Noodle Factory portal and click on ‘Chat Channels’.

Tip #3: Customise your home screen message

When you click on Walter, Noodle Factory’s resident chatbot, you’ll be greeted with our welcome message: “Hi there! 👋 I am Walter. Please help me with your details so that I can assist you better. No information will be used to spam you. I am a good secret keeper 😀”

Similarly, most websites and organisations that use chatbots will have a fixed home screen message too. Take the time to make a Chinese New Year home screen message more festive with some celebratory emojis: 🎉🎊🎁🎈🙌🎇🎆

Tip #4: Write a Chinese New Year greeting

Time for our favourite tip – to create a custom Chinese New Year greeting to suit the occasion. You’ll want your chatbot’s first message to be a fun and festive greeting that is bound to put a smile on your user’s face.

Get creative and start designing exciting and interactive messages and images – the more the merrier! During Christmas, Noodle Factory's Walter sang Christmas carols, sent well wishes, and even showed a photo of him with a Christmas tree.

Want to join in the fun? Go to the Noodle Factory portal and click on ‘Small Talk’.

Tip #5: Create a fun and thematic quiz
